This tour, titled "Architecture and Design," offers a unique opportunity to discover three iconic buildings of Swedish architecture (City Hall – Stadshuset, Concert Hall – Konserthuset, and City Library – Stadsbibliotek), all built in the early 20th century by renowned Swedish architects. These three remarkable buildings provide deeper insight into the challenges of architecture in Sweden and the concept of Nordic aesthetics.

The walk then continues through the neighborhoods of Norrmalm and Östermalm, exploring Swedish design and shops representing various decorative trends (textiles, furniture, porcelain, etc.). The visit concludes at the Svensk Tenn store (Swedish pewter), a boutique founded in 1924 by Estrid Ericson and Nils Fougstedt. This exclusive shop has collaborated with prominent designers and is now considered a benchmark and a true must for Swedish design.

During this 4-hour walk, you will also discover how architecture and design intertwine and harmonize in Sweden, as well as the Swedes' special relationship with nature (choice of materials and shapes), foreign influences, and the unique characteristics of Swedish design compared to other Scandinavian variants.
